Membership 2012
Knebworth GC Seniors’ Section welcomes all playing members of the Club provided they are 55 years old and over.
When you join the Seniors’ Section you have the opportunity to take part in a full programme of matches, home and away, against other clubs in the region. There is also a full calendar of internal marches, events and social occasions.
The subscription for membership of the Seniors’ Section is £5 and can be left in the Seniors’ box or paid directly to Treasurer Peter Corley.

The Section will play 34 matches, home and away, against other clubs. The first is home to South Herts on 12th March and the final game is away against Old Fold Manor on 1st October. Team selection is posted on this noticeboard two weeks before the match as well as in the Seniors’ section on the Club website.

A full programme of internal events also takes place through the year – details of these are also posted on the noticeboard as well as being in the Club diary and Seniors Membership card.

The Seniors Ladies’ Evening is on Thursday 15th March at the start of the playing season, with the Annual Dinner and AGM on Thursday 8th November to round off the Seniors Captain’s year.

The Inter-Club Invitation on Monday 16th July is a major event with invitees from all the clubs we play against through the season.

Seniors have a roll-up on Mondays and Wednesdays with partners chosen by random draw. Starts are at about 7:45 am, so get there just before so as not to miss out. All are welcome.

Through the year, 6 Charity Stablefords are played off the yellow tees qualifying for handicap. There are no reserved tee-times and members should make up three-balls and register in the pro-shop. Entry cost is £2, with half going towards the Club Captain’s charity.

There is a Winter 4-ball for the Dennis Buck Cup and a Summer 4-ball for the Don Sheath Cup as well as a Summer Eclectic Salver competition and the Vintage Salver played off 9 holes for members who are 75 years old and over.
